Art Intern

Job Summary

Duties include art localization, asset management, clerical work, and occasional art and graphic design tasks as required.  Asset management entails locating, organizing, meta-tagging, and cataloging necessary digital art assets (PSD, AI, AE, FLA, BMP, PNG, MNG files). Art and graphic design duties may include creating interface art, designing layouts for game screens, or other art projects.

Qualifications

Education

• Associates Degree in Art or Animation or equivalent coursework
  
  
• Must be pursuing a bachelors degree
  
• Must be at least 21 years of age

Experience

• 0-6 months previous experience as an artist or production assistant
  
• Understanding of Flash, Illustrator, Studio Max

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Proficiency in Photoshop and After Effects
  
• Deep understanding of layer and file organization
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  
• Proficiency in MS Office software

Job Functions

• Create localized and translated versions of game assets
  
• Meticulously organize and catalog art assets
  
• Create frequent reports to management team on current status
  
• Work independently and efficiently
  
• Maintain a professional attitude and work ethic
  
• Track time spent on projects, alerting management team to potential delays.
  
• Develop and utilize basic skills in Photoshop, After Effects, Flash, and Illustrator Create high-quality artwork or graphic design as needed
  
• Other Duties and Responsibilities:
  
• Learn and adhere to WMS localization processes.
  
• Must be willing to learn and work in SharePoint.
