The Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing assigned products with regard to product development, launch, promotion, pricing, performance, and increased profitability. Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing, the ideal candidate will communicate feedback from customers and will work closely with R&D, Operations, Finance and other departments to ensure that the products meet Sequenom’s high standards, are developed on time and marketed effectively.
In this position, you will:
- Provide customer, product development and marketing support during product design and
development
- Identify and regularly communicate customer needs and market trends/requirements/issues
- Research, develop and submit business plans for projected new products
- Write Customer and Marketing Requirement documents for both new and future products
- Develop, monitor and amend marketing plan to achieve sales goal
- Lead project teams, as assigned
- Develop and give effective and persuasive presentations to top management, public groups, and at scientific seminars
- Propose annual promotion budget with itemized expenditures. Manage expenses and product line expenditures within budget and product guidelines
- Analyze market trends and competitive threats to develop plans and maximize sales potential
- Support and assist Clinical Affairs in planning marketing/validation studies for the assigned products
- Develop sales aids, sales collateral, pricing and promotion programs
- Participate in the development and support of trade shows and seminars
